SMS Alert Program — ThermoBacon

Program Overview

ThermoBacon SMS Alerts is a text message notification service for users of the ThermoBacon commercial refrigeration monitoring platform. When enabled, you will receive SMS alerts when your refrigeration sensors detect conditions that exceed your configured thresholds, including temperature, humidity, compressor performance, battery, and connectivity alerts.

This service is designed for ThermoBacon account holders who want real-time text message notifications in addition to email and push notification alerts.

How to Opt In

SMS notifications are disabled by default. To opt in:

Log in to your ThermoBacon account at app.thermobacon.com
Navigate to Settings
In the SMS Text Alerts section, toggle SMS Notifications to on
Enter your phone number in E.164 format (e.g., +15551234567)
Select your preferred minimum alert severity

At the point of opt-in, you will see the following consent disclosure before your settings are saved:

By enabling SMS alerts, you agree to receive automated sensor alert notifications from ThermoBacon. Message frequency varies based on alert activity (typically 1–10/day). Msg & Data rates may apply. After opting in, you will receive a confirmation SMS:

ThermoBacon SMS Alert Program

Program name: ThermoBacon SMS Alerts
Description: Automated text message alerts when refrigeration sensors detect conditions exceeding configured thresholds (temperature, humidity, compressor, battery, or connectivity).
Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on alert activity. You may receive messages when a new alert is triggered and periodic reminders for unacknowledged alerts. Typical usage is 1–10 messages per day, though this may be higher during active alert conditions.
Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply. Check with your wireless carrier for details about your text messaging plan.
Opt-in: You opt in to SMS alerts by enabling SMS notifications and providing your phone number in your ThermoBacon account settings at app.thermobacon.com. Your consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
Opt-out: You can stop receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any ThermoBacon text message, or by disabling SMS notifications in your account settings. After opting out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message.
Help: For help with SMS alerts, reply HELP to any ThermoBacon text message, or contact us at support@thermobacon.com.
Supported carriers: SMS alerts are supported on all major U.S. carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy: We do not share or sell your mobile number to third parties. Your phone number is used exclusively for delivering ThermoBacon alert notifications. See our Privacy Policy for details.
